I strive to make my website a user friendly resource for my buyer and seller clients. Searching properties on this search engine is simple with just a few steps. I suggest utilizing the search saver feature to save your work and your notes as you find your favorites.
To begin your search, choose: map, address/zip code, city/county, subdivision, or area
Map search is ideal for people who want a specific part of town; to be close to work, for example. Use the scroll feature to center the area of interest and then zoom in. By rolling your mouse over the home icons, you will get a pop up of the home detail. Map search can be very helpful to couples who want to reside halfway between two work places.
City/county searches will show all properties that are within the county or have the city address you choose. Of note is that there are properties that have a Chapel Hill address that are not in Orange County and not assigned to Chapel Hill schools. I recommend a county search only for people who want to live in a specific county. Chatham county has a much lower tax rate than Orange and even Wake and Durham counties. Many Chatham County homes have a Chapel Hill address.
This search method will allow you to search a specific area and filter results to show only homes that meet your criteria. Choose from the “property type” and “property features” list.
Address/zip code search is best for people who want to live in a specific school district or zip code or when you want to look up a particular property. The address/zip code method also permits the input of search criteria. When searching for a particular address, it is best to leave all criteria open to avoid screening out the property you want.
Subdivision search is useful when you are focusing on a specific community that you want to watch. This feature will show all the active listings in the neighborhood and is a great way to get to know the area you are watching.
